Named after the rolling hills of Worcestershire, Christopher Ward’s first watches were the C5 Malvern Automatic and C3 Malvern Chronograph, which caused shockwaves in the watchmaking industry thanks to their attractive pricing and top-end functionality. So it’ll come as no surprise that we’re more than a little fond of all the timepieces that carry the Malvern name. We think you’ll feel the same way.
When we first launched the C5 Malvern Mk I in June 2005, customers all over the world were astonished by the quality and value of the timepiece on offer. In the Mk III, we have built from that foundation, with our technical and design teams challenging themselves to create the highest quality watch available at this level.
Creating the 595 marks another milestone for CW, as we continue to challenge the status quo. This time, we challenged our design and technical teams to produce a mechanical dress watch under the magic specification of 6mm. Rising to the occasion in considerable style, this Malvern’s 5.95mm case is the thinnest mechanical watch Christopher Ward has ever created.
Launched alongside Christopher Ward in 2005, the C3 Malvern Chronograph was a watch whose design skilfully fused quintessential English dress watch styling with sporty elements (it was inspired by the dashboard of an Aston Martin, after all). The C3 Grand Tourer returns to those early automotive influences, and then reenvisages them through the advances present in our Chronograph Mk III update.
